Ben Affleck is the Goddamn Batman!

Remember back in 2007 when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker?  Everyone went crazy and all you kept hearing was jokes about Brokeback Mountain.  Then the movie came out and everyone was blown away by how good he was as the Joker. 

I have a feeling that if the internet had been around (and no one better give me a history lesson of the internet) in the late eighties, people would have went crazy about Michael Keaton being cast as Batman.  It is what the internet is for, looking at porn and going crazy about movie casting news.  Pretty much all you can do on the internet.

It was announced yesterday that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the Man of Steel sequel.  I like Ben Affleck.  I loved The Town and Argo.  I think he is a great director.  Hell, I did not hate Daredevil.  I think people were a little unfair on him about DD.  Affleck was also great in the Kevin Smith movies. 

That being said, the moment I heard this decision, I started making jokes about Batman being from Boston.  Then I went on Twitter and saw all sorts of funny jokes.  But, if you want to be entertained go to Filmdrunk and read the comments.
