The Meteor Shower

Last night as I drove home, I thought I saw a meteor shoot across the sky.  I dismissed it as nothing and that it was probably just my eyes playing tricks on me.  Then, a little bit later, I saw another.  As soon as I got home, I downloaded the Sky Map on my phone and noticed above me that there was a meteor shower in the Gemini.  You can read about it here. 

I stood outside for awhile watching meteors streak across the sky.  Lindsey pulled in and asked what I was doing.  I told her and she was relieved.  She thought she was having a seizure while driving home because she kept seeing shooting stars.  Oh silly girl!

If you get a chance tonight, look up in the sky and try to spot some.  It is quite thrilling.  I suggest downloading the Google Sky Map, which is great for identifying everything in the night sky.
